Yekope Orphanage
A $50 monthly gift cares for one orphan in Yekope, providing them a loving home, meals, clothing, medical attention, and consistent education until they are adopted. We use a three-tier program:

Reformation
Reintegration

We strive for each child to achieve spiritual growth, personal development, and intellectual aptitude, as well as to become exemplary citizens.
Rehabilitation efforts include providing a loving home through the physical, emotional, and spiritual care of knowledgeable staff.
Reformation is provided through education and skill training. Each child is taught to be both self-reliant and community-oriented.
Reintegration incorporates children into their community where they will use their acquired skills and foundation in faith to help others.
Widow Support
Yekope is also committed to extending love and resources to the women of our community, specifically widows in Lokoja. Widow care includes providing food, housing assistance, and healthcare free of cost.
Community Water Program
Yekope provides free running water to anyone in the surrounding community who may need it. Because reliable electricity is required to pump running water, many residents do not have access in their homes. 57 million people in NIgeria do not have clean water. 45,000 children die before the age of 5 in Nigeria due to poor water and sanitation (WateraidUS.org 2021).
Yekope School
Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are nurtured by sensitive, engaging caregivers during school hours. School-age children receive formal instruction from a certified teacher onsite. Regardless of age, each child is given individual attention tailored to their developmental stage. By highlighting each child’s strengths, we support them in reaching their potential.
Holiday Events & Fundraisers
Yekope is a family-focused organization, and we see our community as family. Holiday programs and annual celebrations are an opportunity for us to remain connected. Children feel safe and valued when they can rely on a network of support.
